Builder Information
So you are looking to become a builder? If so this is the place. To become a builder means to leave a lasting mark upon the mud for all to see. It takes time, imagination, and patience.
I do have some specific guidelines my builders must follow.
1.) Your area must not look like
it was copied from a Tolkien Novel or straight out of
a dragonlance novel. You can use sources such as
those for ideas and such but not to
copy.
2.) Objects and lots of them.
Give players a good choice of equipment but there are
some rules to those objects. And Added affects for
stats should not go over +3 in any
field. For mana/move/hp not over +200 and that
only on high level items that are hard
to get. (See formulas below)
3.) Weapons: If you are making
an area that is lvl 50-70 your weapons should range
in damage to those levels. So your top mobs would
carry a weapon that can do about
70 average damage. And weapons that have added
affects for Hit Roll and Damage
Roll should be MAGIC flagged.
4.) Any added affects: Should be
realistic to which item they are placed on. So like
Arm plates shouldn't give +100 move or Leggings
shouldn't give +2 Int. Make them fit
into place to what they are enhancing.
Equipment Maximums
always check your added affects after you set them, if it shows as none, it does not work take it off, level is what the level of the item will be
| Damroll | Level/20 |
| Hitroll | Level/10 |
| Acmod | -Level/5 |
| Total stat mods(str,int,etc) | +4, none over 3 |
| Hitpoints | Level |
| Moves | Level*2 |
| Mana | Level*1.5 |
1 possible spell affect, and if you make an item with all these things, could still be denied
If any of these things are used,
the item must be magical
on weapons, the ave damage + damroll mod >=
level*1.25
In certain circumstances, I can
approve something that is balanced, but has a stat
that is over the max, but it has to be approved by
Sivart
Try and keep weight serious for what the item is, a solid gold breastplate is really heavy
